In the year two thousand and five their revenue was estimated at six point four billion US dollars. The North American and Canadian market is prevalent for Enterprise.
Jack Taylor owned a small business in nineteen fifty-seven that dealt with auto-leasing. He named his company after the US naval ship “USS Enterprise” he served on while in the Navy as a Navy aviator. His son, Andy Taylor became the president of the company in nineteen eighty and CEO in nineteen ninety-four.
The main sales point of Enterprise Rent-A-Car is insurance replacement. Their motto is “We’ll pick you up!” This is not only a slogan but they will deliver the car to you, once approved, to your home or office. Enterprise has won several awards for customer satisfaction in and around airports. Most car rental companies will not rent to anyone under the age of twenty-five but Enterprise will for an additional fee and mandatory insurance.
Some of the cars offered by this company include the Dodge Neon, Kia Rio and Chevrolet Aveo for compact vehicles. Chevrolet Cobalt, Ford Focus, Nissan Sentra and Toyota Corolla are offered for intermediate vehicles. Standards include the Pontiac Vibe, Chevrolet Malibu and Hyundai Sonata. Full-size vehicles rentable from Enterprise include the Chevrolet Impala and Ford Taurus. If you are able to spend a bit more money you can rent their luxury line of cars which include the Chrysler 300. Dodge Charger, Cadillac DTS, Mercedes C230 and Mercedes C240 models. The larger vehicles such as minivans, trucks and SUVs include the Ford Freestar, Dodge Grand Caravan, Chevrolet Silverado, Dodge Ram Charger, Chevrolet Express 15-passenger Van, Chevrolet Trailblazer, Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, Jeep Liberty and Nissan Xterra.
Enterprise car rental companies have hired over seven thousand employees in two thousand six alone and this number is expected to rise as the years go on.
