This chain was started in nineteen seventy-four in a few cities in Florida. The catch sales idea was unlimited mileage, so you could rent a car and drive an unlimited distance in it, at no extra cost to you. The automobile that Alamo rents to consumers are all General Motors.
The following is a comprehensive listing of car types and the corresponding rental vehicle. The Chevrolet Aveo is an economy rental. The Chevrolet Cavalier and Chevrolet Cobalt is a compact rental. The Pontiac G6 is a mid-sized rental. The Chevrolet Impala is a full-sized rental. The Buick Lucerne is a premium rental. The Cadillac DTS is a luxury rental. The Chrysler Sebring is a convertible rental. The Chevrolet Trailblazer is a SUV rental. The Chevrolet Uplander and Chevrolet Astro is a minivan rental.
At Alamo.com you can find rates and make reservations. You can check out their locations online as well as look at the selection of vehicles per car type as listed above. There are special rates for members and several hot deals and car specials.
Use the pre-pay and save special to save ten percent on your rate. To qualify you need to present the same credit card used for the reservation and your driver’s license. The name on your driver’s license must match the name on the credit card used. You must confirm payment at least twenty-four hours to get the ten percent discount from your rate. Debit cards are not accepted for the pre-pay special discount.
There are several time rate specials offered online from Alamo.com. Depending on the type of car you rent, there is a fifteen dollar discount for a weekly rental. You may choose from any compact through luxury car, minivan, SUV and convertible. A ten dollar discount is offered on any compact through luxury car, minivan, SUV and convertible for a three day weekend rental. You can also save fifty dollars per month for rentals of two months or longer.
