I mean, who goes to Florida on their way anywhere? “Honey, I’m going to stop by Florida on my way home!” Home to where… Cuba? What I’m trying to say is that Florida is a Destination, not part of the trip. When you are there, you’re going to want to rent a car.
Getting a Florida Rental Car discount is not difficult, as long as you do your homework. It pays to shop around long before you leave for Florida. The internet is now your best friend, as you can comparison shop all the major car companies, most of the smaller, local companies, as well as the travel mega-sites like Expedia, Travelocity, and others.
If you are flying to Florida, and booking your airline tickets online, be sure to get a price quote on a package of airfare, hotel, and rental car. Often, by doing the package thing, you can save a lot over what the individual pieces would have cost you if you had bought them separately.
Some things to consider when planning your trip so you can get the best discount on your Florida rental car are:
• How long you will be staying. Car rental companies can offer discounts for longer-term visits, and there may be additional discounts if you stay over a weekend.
